Dancing With the Stars keert terug voor zijn 35e seizoen met een tweedaagse première op ABC en Disney+ later deze maand, met verse beroemde deelnemers en een mix van nieuwe en terugkerende professionele dansers in de ballroom.
Several stars have already been confirmed for the fall lineup. Ciara Miller from Summer House will take on the dance floor, joined by Maura Higgins from The Traitors, Savannah Bananas performer Jackson Olson, and longtime Jimmy Kimmel sidekick Guillermo Rodriguez.
Additional names include actress Julia Stiles of Save the Last Dance fame. Rumors also point to possible appearances by Jenna Dewan, Tyler Cameron, model Sarah Jane Nader, and Hanson singer Taylor Hanson, though ABC has not confirmed these ahead of the official reveal.
The complete Season 35 roster drops Wednesday, Sept. 2 during Good Morning America. ABC remains silent on unconfirmed rumors until the big announcement.
Reigning champion Witney Carson, who lifted the Mirrorball Trophy last season with Robert Irwin, confirmed her return. She shared the news on Good Morning America while noting she will compete while expecting her second child.
I am expecting. So I will be dancing with this little baby right here. Very excited, but would be lying if I said it wasn’t a little daunting. I’ve never been this far along pregnant and competing on Dancing With the Stars before.
After a five-year break, pro dancer Sharna Burgess also makes her comeback. She posted a video announcing her return and later appeared on GMA to express her excitement.
I’m back in the ballroom, baby. It feels so good to be coming home. I’ll see you all soon.
The winner of the spinoff competition DWTS: The Next Pro will join the professional roster. The finale airs Monday, Aug. 31 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC, with finalists Selena Hamilton, Adele Zaikman, and AJ Pritchard still in contention.
ABC will reveal the Season 35 judging panel and hosting team on Good Morning America Tuesday, Sept. 1. Recent seasons featured Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough, and Bruno Tonioli as judges alongside hosts Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro.
The two-night premiere airs Tuesday, Sept. 15, and Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and Disney+. Regular Tuesday episodes resume the following week at the same time, with next-day streaming on Hulu.
Viewers can expect continued updates on the celebrity pairings, dance styles, and behind-the-scenes moments as the season approaches.
