Emmy-winnende producent van 7 oktober-documentaire sluit zich aan bij Israëlische studio voor internationale expansie en coproducties

Ariel Weisbrod is toegetreden tot Yoav Gross Productions (YGP) als vicepresident content en partnerships. De stap versterkt de internationale ambities van het Israëlische productiebedrijf.

Nieuwe rol richt zich op contentontwikkeling en internationale coproducties

Weisbrod krijgt de verantwoordelijkheid voor contentstrategie en -ontwikkeling en leidt internationale coproducties en partnerships. Hij volgt Osher Assouline op, die is benoemd tot hoofd content van het microdrama-platform van YGP.

De benoeming past in de bredere internationale groei van Yoav Gross Productions. Het bedrijf produceert scripted en unscripted projecten voor grote platforms en exploiteert de vertical-video-app AppReel.

Sterk trackrecord bij Sipur Studios

Weisbrod werkte zes jaar bij Sipur Studios als content lead. In die periode superviseerde hij een portfolio met onder meer de Netflix-serie Bad Boy en de Emmy-winnende documentaire We Will Dance Again, over de aanslag op het Nova Music Festival op 7 oktober.

Eerder dit jaar trad voormalig Legendary Entertainment-executive Deborah Kaufmann toe tot Sipur Studios om de contentafdeling te leiden.

Groeiend portfolio van YGP

Yoav Gross Productions is bekend van de Apple TV+-serie Red Skies en de Yes-drama On Standby. De microdrama-app AppReel bevat titels als Survivors of the Heart en The Cinderella Trials. Deadline noemde het bedrijf eerder dit jaar als een van de opkomende vertical-video-makers.

Ariel brings a wealth of experience, strong creative instincts and deep relationships across the international industry. His appointment is an important part of the next stage of growth for Yoav Gross Productions, and I’m very happy to have him on board.
