Presentator van Last Week Tonight leidt benefiet voor 40-jarig bestaan ter ondersteuning van kinderen in armoede met sterrenoptredens en Visionary Award voor ServiceNow

John Oliver presenteert dit jaar het Comic Relief Live-evenement in de Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage van Carnegie Hall op maandag 19 oktober.

De presentator van Last Week Tonight keert terug na vorig jaar samen met Mike Birbiglia, Michael Che, Ilana Glazer en Lupita Nyong’o het programma te hebben geleid.

Steroptredens sluiten aan bij Oliver voor de avond

Mary Beth Barone, Zarna Garg, Josh Johnson en Roy Wood Jr. treden op tijdens het benefiet.

Evenement markeert 40 jaar Comic Relief

Het benefiet van 2026 viert het 40-jarig bestaan van de comedy-liefdadigheidsorganisatie. De eerste special werd uitgezonden op HBO en had Billy Crystal, Whoopi Goldberg en Robin Williams in de hoofdrol.

Leiding en Visionary Award aangekondigd

Patrick Vien, vicevoorzitter van de raad van Comic Relief en Group Managing Director International bij A+E Global Media, en Dave Bernath, chief executive officer bij Wurl, zijn co-voorzitters van het benefiet van 2026.

Comic Relief reikt de Visionary Award 2026 uit aan ServiceNow voor de steun aan door jongeren geleide projecten op het snijvlak van technologie en sociale impact.

Opbrengsten financieren werk met kinderen in armoede

De kaartverkoop van Comic Relief Live ondersteunt direct de inspanningen van de organisatie om kinderen in armoede te helpen.
