The Hollywood Reporter viert topmakelaars op landgoed in Bel-Air en markeert 50-jarig jubileum van Sotheby’s International Realty

The Hollywood Reporter verzamelde tientallen vooraanstaande vastgoedprofessionals uit Los Angeles voor de zesde jaarlijkse Power Broker Awards op een privéterrein in Bel-Air. De avond stond in het teken van de uitblinkers van de recente lijst 37 Top L.A. Real Estate Brokers of 2026 en viel samen met het 50-jarig jubileum van Sotheby’s International Realty op de markt.

Prachtig decor in Bel-Air voor cocktailreceptie en ceremonie

Het Antelo View Estate, een uitgestrekt off-market object van 5,5 hectare dat door Sotheby’s International Realty wordt vertegenwoordigd, vormde het decor. Gasten genoten tijdens een cocktailuur van drankjes en gelato op het terras, begeleid door live harpmuziek, voordat ze naar het gazon verhuisden voor de officiële prijsuitreiking.

The Society Group organiseerde het evenement, met sponsoring van Sotheby’s International Realty, The Rider Residences Miami en Provenance Record. Redacteuren van The Hollywood Reporter kozen de winnaars op basis van verkoopvolume jaar-op-jaar en de kwaliteit van de behandelde panden.

Executive van Sotheby’s blikt terug op vijf decennia luxe vastgoed

Cristian David, senior vice president en brokerage manager bij Sotheby’s International Realty, sprak de aanwezigen toe samen met Alexander Ali van The Society Group. David benadrukte dat echte luxe in vastgoed verder gaat dan alleen de prijs en draait om discretie, perspectief en interculturele verbindingen.

While the world of real estate continues to evolve, the true luxury has never been defined by a price point alone. It is defined by discretion, perspective and the ability to create meaningful connections across the cultures, markets and generations.

Prijzen voor filantropie en celebrity-portefeuilles lichten uitblinkers uit

Acht prijzen werden uitgereikt. Cindy Ambuehl van Christie’s ontving de Philanthropic Impact Award voor haar steun aan de Palisades-gemeenschap na recente uitdagingen. Ernie Carswell van Sotheby’s kreeg de Celebrity Property Portfolio Award voor het afhandelen van high-profile landgoederen, waaronder het voormalige pand van Raquel Welch en objecten verbonden aan Cary Grant en Cecil B. DeMille.

This is the greatest city in America to work in real estate for the reasons we all know, and it’s a privilege. Look at what we get to see and sell. And this is the only city I’ve been to around the world that has so much diversity of property styles, topography, the oceans here, the mountains here.

Team of the Year wint hoogste prijs met recordomzet

Branden en Rayni Williams van The Beverly Hills Estates ontvingen de hoogste eer van de avond, Team of the Year, na 1,6 miljard dollar aan verkopen in 2025. Rayni deelde advies uit het begin van hun carrière over het behouden van een verkopersmentaliteit ongeacht marktomstandigheden, terwijl Branden de kracht van hun partnerschap en team benadrukte.

There’s a buyer’s market, there’s a seller’s market and there’s a salesperson’s market, and it’s always a salesperson’s market. So for everything we’ve been through, with all the trials and tribulations of Los Angeles and personal times, hardships — you just keep selling, and I think that’s the key.

Overige winnaars waren Lea Porter voor Agent of Historic Architecture, Linda May en Blair Chang voor Condo Sale of the Year, James Harris voor Media Maverick, Chris Cortazzo voor Stratospheric Sale of the Year en Amir Ensani voor Rising Star.
