Meerjarige deal brengt bijna 40 uur Wizarding World-content naar MTV, Nickelodeon, Nick at Nite en Paramount Network vanaf 3 juli.

Paramount heeft een exclusieve Amerikaanse lineaire licentieovereenkomst gesloten voor de complete Harry Potter-filmserie en alle drie de Fantastic Beasts-films. De meerjarige overeenkomst met Warner Bros. Discovery plaatst de collectie van elf films vanaf 3 juli op verschillende kabelzenders van het bedrijf.

Zomerprogrammering start op meerdere netwerken

MTV opent de reeks met een volledige Harry Potter-marathon tijdens het weekend van 4 juli, waarbij alle acht originele films worden uitgezonden van vrijdag 3 juli tot en met zondag 5 juli. Paramount Network volgt met een weekvullend overzicht van alle Harry Potter- en Fantastic Beasts-titels van 13 tot en met 19 juli.

Nickelodeon en Nick at Nite presenteren in augustus hun eigen Wizarding World-block. Een evenement tijdens het Labor Day-weekend in het kader van de jaarlijkse “Back to Hogwarts”-campagne van Warner Bros. Discovery sluit de eerste zomerronde af.

Volledige filmlijst in de overeenkomst

De deal omvat de volledige originele serie: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince en beide delen van Deathly Hallows.

Daarnaast bevat de overeenkomst de complete Fantastic Beasts-trilogie: Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald en Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore.

Wizarding World-content vindt een nieuw lineair thuis

De overeenkomst geeft de kabelportefeuille van Paramount de exclusieve Amerikaanse lineaire rechten op bijna veertig uur Wizarding World-verhalen. De films waren eerder verspreid over verschillende netwerken en streamingdiensten, maar deze deal concentreert de bibliotheek voor meerdere jaren op één familie van zenders.
