Max, Min & Meowzaki bereikt op 24 juli de bioscopen in heel India. Platoon One Films verzorgt de distributie van de Hindi- en Engelstalige film.

Sterk festivalverloop bouwt spanning op voor release

De film ging in première in Busan en werd geselecteerd voor het Best of Fest-programma in Palm Springs. Hij was ook te zien op het International Film Festival of Kerala. Publieksprijzen volgden op festivals in Sonoma, San Francisco en Osaka. De film won prijzen voor beste film in Stuttgart, Cincinnati, de Indo-Duitse filmweek in Berlijn en RIFFA in Canada.

Regisseur en producenten brengen persoonlijke visie naar het scherm

Padmakumar Narasimhamurthy regisseert na lof voor zijn eerdere film “A Billion Colour Story”. Samiksha en Shael Oswal van SSO Productions treden op als producenten.

Ensemblecast draagt verhaal over meerdere generaties

De cast bestaat uit Adil Hussain, Mandira Bedi, Nasser, Nafisa Ali, Siddharth Menon, Medha Shankr en Vidhatri Bandi. Animatiefilmmaker Gitanjali Rao maakt een cameo.

Verhaal draait om familie, identiteit en een bijzondere kat

Drie generaties Mahadevan-mannen worden tegelijkertijd geconfronteerd met plotselinge singlehood. Het verhaal verbindt jonge relaties, familiebanden, botsende opvattingen over leven en seksualiteit, therapiesessies en persoonlijk herstel. Een kat vernoemd naar de Japanse filmmaker Miyazaki Hayao vormt een zachte rode draad.
