Several shows appear on the shortlist for the first time. These include Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend, Las Culturistas with Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang, and Matt and Shane’s Secret Podcast. They join established entries such as Bad Friends hosted by Bobby Lee and Andrew Santino, the comedy history series Behind the Bastards, true-crime podcast Love Trapped, My Favorite Murder with Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark, Malcolm Gladwell’s Revisionist History, The Shawn Ryan Show, The Toast, and This American Life.

The list grew from 25 to 30 eligible titles this year. Several programs that qualified previously no longer appear, including 20/20, 48 Hours, Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard, and The Ben Shapiro Show.

Hoe de Golden Globes podcasts selecteert

Luminate compiles the qualifying list using data on audience reach, engagement, revenue, and chart performance drawn directly from platforms. Luminate is owned by Deadline parent PMC, which co-owns the Golden Globes. Eligible shows will now be invited to submit materials for consideration, after which Golden Globes voters will select the nominees.

Last year’s nominees were Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard, Call Her Daddy, Good Hang with Amy Poehler, The Mel Robbins Podcast, Smartless, and NPR’s Up First.
