Veteran actors Bill Nighy and Rosemarie DeWitt will appear as guest stars in the second season of Star Trek: Starfleet Academy. The casting news emerged during a dedicated panel at New York Comic-Con.
Nighy takes on the part of Nyk Ake, the distant father of Nahla, portrayed by Holly Hunter. DeWitt steps into the role of Laytha Sadal, mother to Tarima played by Zoë Steiner and First Lady of Betazed. First-look images of the performers in character were shared alongside the announcement.
