Historicus Timothy Snyder verzamelt sterren waaronder Mark Ruffalo en Sarah Jessica Parker om lessen tegen autoritarisme te reciteren.

Terwijl president Trump de viering van Amerika's 250ste verjaardag heeft gericht op persoonlijke eerbetuigingen, is een coalitie van acteurs, activisten, wetenschappers, komieken en schrijvers samengekomen om een scherpe herinnering te geven over de kwetsbaarheid van democratische systemen.

Historicus Timothy Snyder verzamelde een reeks prominente stemmen om passages uit zijn boek uit 2017 “On Tyranny: Twenty Lessons from the Twentieth Century.” uit te voeren. Het werk trekt parallellen tussen 20e-eeuwse Europese dictaturen en hedendaagse politieke ontwikkelingen in de Verenigde Staten.
