Oscarwinnares voegt zich bij verteller Kerry O’Malley in de thriller over de New Yorkse society uit 1939, die op 4 oktober uitkomt in paperback en als audio.

Oscarwinnares Anjelica Huston heeft zich aangesloten bij de cast van het audioboek van Amy Ephrons nieuwste mysterie Unseasonably Cold. Ze spreekt de rol van Thessaly Edwards in, in de productie die wordt ingesproken door Kerry O’Malley.

Een mysterie in de New Yorkse society van 1939

Het verhaal speelt zich af in de hogere kringen van New York in 1939. Centraal staat de verdwijning van columniste en uitgeverserfgename Jane Henry een jaar eerder. Haar goede vriendin Liza Simon blijft worstelen met Jane’s laatste woorden over haar man die ‘unseasonably cold’ werd. Nieuw bewijs wijst nu in de richting van Liza’s broer Timothy, terwijl er nieuwe verdachten opduiken tijdens het lopende onderzoek.

Details over de productie van het audioboek

The Sager Group, opgericht door Mike Sager, bracht de roman uit op 1 april, met bredere distributie in mei. Zowel de paperback als het audioboek verschenen op 4 oktober. Amy Ephron regisseerde de opname, met vertelstem van actrice Kerry O’Malley. Executive producers Betty Bennett en tweevoudig Grammy-winnaar Bob Clearmountain hielden toezicht op het project in Clearmountain’s Berkeley Street Studios in Santa Monica.

Kerry is fantastic. In my fantasy, I once imagined Anjelica might direct me; I never thought I would have the honor of directing her. It was a complete pleasure and will always be a treasured memory to record at Betty Bennett and Bob Clearmountain’s Berkeley Street Studios and to record with Brandon Duncan.

I have been a fan of Amy Ephron’s for as long as I can remember. It was my true honor to contribute to Unseasonably Cold in the role of Thessaly Edwards. And what a joy it was to record opposite the gifted Kerry O’Malley and to get to play together in the studio with these exceptional women.
