A+E Global Media neemt Chris Stewart aan als VP Content Sales voor belangrijke markten

Voormalig Banijay Rights-executive leidt verkoopactiviteiten in het Verenigd Koninkrijk, Ierland en Duitsland.

A+E Global Media heeft de ervaren televisiedistributie-executive Chris Stewart aangesteld in de nieuw gecreëerde rol van VP Content Sales. Hij zal de verkoopactiviteiten in het Verenigd Koninkrijk, Ierland en Duitsland leiden terwijl hij vanuit het VK werkt.

Strategische aanstelling volgt op herstructurering in de sector

De aanstelling komt kort nadat Stewart Banijay Rights verliet tijdens een herstructurering die volgde op de fusie van Banijay Entertainment met All3Media. In zijn vorige functie was hij SVP voor het Verenigd Koninkrijk en Ierland.

Patrick Vien benadrukt commerciële expertise

Group Managing Director International Patrick Vien prees de nieuwe aanstelling vanwege zijn uitgebreide achtergrond in verkoop, acquisities, programmering en contentfinanciering.

Uitgebreide carrière bij grote omroepen

Stewart was eerder Commercial Director, Scripted bij Banijay Rights. Daarvoor was hij Head of Drama bij BBC Worldwide, de voorganger van BBC Studios, en begon hij zijn carrière bij 2Entertain, de joint venture van BBC Worldwide met Woolworths.

A+E bereidt zich voor op MIPCOM met nieuwe opdrachten

Het bedrijf zal later deze maand MIPCOM Cannes bijwonen. Recente opdrachten zijn onder meer History’s Strange Fortunes with Kevin Bacon, Extraordinary Origins with Ted Danson en het vervolg Buried in Barstow 2: Blood for Blood.
